  1. You truly got into the spirit! We never get any children in our community, so we just put out some decorations.

    • There are few small children in our tract. Since we live in a tract of custom-built homes on 1-acre lots, you can imagine that there is quite a lot of walking (time-consuming) between “haunts” so we have been seeing fewer visitors each year, too.

  2. Lovely photos depicting the spirit of Halloween. I enjoy Halloween since it gives me a break from routine stuff and one can have fun.

    • I resisted the urge to ask the final set of trick-or-treaters who came to my door for a picture of them…they were incredibly well-done. Their mother accompanied them. There was a set of fraternal twins, appropriately dressed as a set : washing machine and dryer! SO CUTE! The mother had made the costumes and they were perfect and brightly colored; and then there was an older sister: she was Tinkerbell and she said she started with a store-bought costume, but her accessories and make-up were created at home with the help of Mom. Such originality and creativity went into these kids’ costumes…it truly showed!

  3. We don’t celebrate Halloween over here to the extent that you do in the U.S. however last night whilst coming home from an appointment, I nearly hit a ghost! lol
We did have a couple of kids knock on the door but it was mainly teens going around town apparently.
