Veterans Day and the things we left behind

As some of you may or may not know, I am a veteran.  Part of that long and proud tradition of having served my country in the armed forces.  I did 4 years in the USAF, during that 4 years I learned a lot about myself, the way the world really is and I came to know some people who I will assuredly never forget.  During my 4 years I was stationed in England the entire time, where I met some of the most incredible people who I know and still have some contact with now.  I also did a 365 deployment to Iraq to train the Iraqi Police force, there I met some people who I consider to be my brothers and sisters.  Throughout those years I learned something that I never thought was possible, even if I disliked someone for one reason or another, I would still take…
